Product Description

Levoit Dual200S 3-litre humidifier

Why We Chose This Product

Studies show that eczema is worse in cold, dry weather. This explains why so many people get eczema flares during the winter months (when the air is colder and drier) and in colder countries. Humidifiers increase the humidity (water content) in the air around us, which has been shown to help improve the skin's moisture. One study showed it helped improve the skin's moisture but didn't look at eczema inflammtion. Humidifiers are also useful in air-conditioned rooms, where the air is also dry.

This humidifier is great because it has:

  1. Large-capacity (3 litres), which delivers 25-hours of continuous humidification
  2. Smart control - it uses Wifi and bluetooth, so you can control it with an app or by voice using Alexa and Google Assistant. You can even set up a schedule.
  3. Built in hygrometer (humidity monitor) so it adjusts the amount of water vapour to the humidity in the room. This prevents over-use of the humidifier (over-use of the humidifier can lead to mould growth).
  4. It has a compact design
  5. Simple top-fill design - you can easily clean and refill the humidifier.
  6. It's quiet when it runs
  7. It comes with a 2-year warranty

Cautions

Regularly clean the humidifier chamber every 3 days, as mould can build up in humidifiers

Overuse of humidifiers can cause mould to grow in your house (which can make eczema worse). Aim to keep humidity levels to 30-60% using the product app.

We advise not to use any aromatherapy oils with the humidifier as these can may make eczema worse.
